2012 D’SAS KING VALLEY PINOT GRIS WINS TROPHY

In its first showing since being released the 2012 D’SAS King Valley Pinot Gris won the Trophy for Best Aromatic White Wine at the 2012 Air Liquide Concours des Vins du Victoria organised by French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry held in Melbourne recently.

The wine show is judged by French wine judges and is highly regarded amoungst Victorian wine producers. The judges including Christian Maier, Head Sommelier at the RACV Club commented on the wines strong “Alsace” characteristics. For Matthew it is vindication of his confidence in the King Valley as an excellent place to source Pinot Gris grapes. In particular from above Whitlands where the highest vineyard are at altitudes above 600m.
